We decided to visit the Chinese Garden on 23 Sep 2007 (Sun) to soak in the atmosphere. eL’s dad was out of Singapore so we invited eL’s mum to join us. As we were one of the early birds to reach there at 5+ p.m., we got to redeem for a free mooncake (cheap one and not so nice to eat! :p ) and we received a paper lantern each. I used one that night and we kept the rest of the 2 for celebrating on the day itself.
On 25 Sep (Tue), we decided to light up the remaining 2 lanterns and eat some mooncakes while admiring the full moon at one of our balconies. It was then we realised that all our 3 balconies are North-South-facing and couldn’t see the moon at all!
Nevertheless, that did not stop us from celebrating it in the comfort of our home. eL set up a little table and despite not seeing the moon, we sat at our balcony and savoured tea with mooncakes while trying to make out what our neighbours opposite were doing. Hee …
