Which is harder, posing for pictures or choosing them when they’re done? :)
We’ve been spending the past few days (since getting our photos back from Ray Ong), sorting through and deciding on the ones to include in the eventual album. Out of the 325 shots that we were given on our CDs, we have to choose 30 of them as “main pictures” followed by 60 others that we like so that they can be made into collages. 90 in all to choose, from 325… err… what’s that formula for permutations and combinations (*looks at Cy*… err.. you’re the one with the maths degree :P)?
OK… According to this calculator that I found (Google has an answer to everything! :P), there are more than 9.398761404482522e+81 possibilities in our choices (or in other words, a big headache :P). To simplify things a little, we have come up with an idea to rate the pictures independently first (assigning a score to each picture – either, “definitely want”, “want”, “don’t want” or “not sure”). Cy then came up with a brilliant way (being the Ms Organized that she usually is) to combine our scores on an Excel worksheet. So far, we have narrowed our choices to 55 “definitely wants” some of which I have already uploaded to our Flickr. Now begins the process of chosing the rest of the 90 photos and which ones will eventually end up as the 30 “main pictures”…
