Another weekend, another place to cycle. This time, we drove our bikes down to the ECP, rode them down to McDonald’s for breakfast, and rode some more, before we headed home. Where shall we go next? :)

One of my favourite pots in our balcony. It’s a tall plant with a strong stem that has a big and pretty yellow bloom right on the top! On good days, there can be as many as two or three waiting to bloom at the same time!
Although life is not a bed of roses all the time, do take a moment and admire the flowers when you get the chance.
Less than one month since starting cycling… and we’ve got our own Raleigh bikes and helmets, done 20+ km from Pasir Ris to Tampines, Bedok, East Coast Park and back last weekend as well as another 20km or so along the Changi Coastal Route yesterday. We are really enjoying our weekend cycling/quality time :)
We just came back from our Hong Kong trip! eL attended a sponsored business trip in Hong Kong and I got to tag along, too! We were arranged to stay in Langham Place Hotel in Mongkok and were allocated an Executive room on the 32nd floor and it was really beautiful! See through bathroom from the bedroom, a big and comfortable extra King-sized bed and a fully-equipped system with even a cordless phone that could be brought around anywhere within the hotel for communication!
Despite the rainy weather, food and shopping remained great, especially when there was an attached Langham shopping mall to our hotel and eL’s favourite dessert stall, “Xu Liu Shan” just opposite our hotel! We visited their Disneyland and I was delighted to know that there were new attractions added since my last visit in June 2006. We drove and even attended their academy to learn to draw Mickey Mouse!

It was my 4th time in Hong Kong as well as our 2nd time together there and I’m still counting on … looking forward to a next time!
We’ve never really explored our neighbourhood much despite having already moved in for more than one and a half years. Two weekends ago, we decided to pay neighbouring Pasir Ris Park a visit. I’ve not really gotten back the hang of cycling (I stopped after banging into a stationary car just right after I learnt how to ride when I was 8), but at Cy’s cajoling, I decided to try my luck again :) Thankfully, with the childhood groundwork, I took about less than an hour to get going again. Here are some photos, and a video of our second trip to Pasir Ris Park last weekend.
