Forever Love

Binding us together in perfect harmony

Although our wedding photoshoot was a few days back, even till now as I think back, I kind of miss it. How I wish we could spend more days taking photos like that … maybe only possible if we did it overseas.

Although a little tiring towards the end of the day, I actually enjoyed it alot and wish that it would never end. Our photographer, Ray, is really a great guy! Very humourous and always trying to cheer us up. Very patient with us when he taught us how to pose in front of his camera. Not forgetting his gentlemanly manners as he helped us to carry our things into his studio amidst the drizzling morning.

I am impressed by his eye for details. He noticed every single detail about us from head to toe and he was able to bring out the details of all my gowns e.g. the train, the layers, the slight mermaid-cut without me saying anything.

He is a funny guy, too … cracking jokes trying to liven up the atmosphere. eL must have been too tense that he ended up frequently with a crooked smile. While Ray tried to make him laugh, I ended up laughing with him with a gummy smile. So, it was either him looking good and with me gummy or me looking good and with him duh … So, Ray joked that he probably needed to replace his face … hee … eL was alittle frustrated initially and didn’t seem to understand how crooked his smile was until Ray showed us the digital photos on his camera. Fortunately, he had a way of making eL smile and he loosened up towards the end. As for me, he preferred my gummy smile and kept prompting me to keep it up.

Haven’t seen the photos yet but I hope that all our effort will pay off and the photos will turn out nice. I have no doubts about his skills though … he’s really very creative and able to capture the right moments and the right angles. I just hope that we had looked good enough for his photos.

A pity that we didn’t have much time left for our outdoor photoshoot. Nevertheless, I still miss those times …

Bought a pair of pillows made of memory foam for only $300 when its usual price was $500 as well as another pair of pillows for our guest room during the Robinsons sale in May.

This afternoon, I bought a pretty set of Jean & Perry bedsheet with quilt cover set. Really love its blue & white combination with nice embroidery … fits our requirement for bedsheet. It’s priced at $111.30 after discount from the usual of $159. After which, I casually asked the staff if there was a quilt available as well, since it had slipped my mind that we needed a quilt when I bought the pillows.

To my surprise, I realised that quilt is not as cheap as I thought! There are different qualities and this King-size premium quilt with pearl polyester stuffing cost $179. It’s machine washable, anti-dustmites, anti-fungus and it doesn’t cause heat. The salesman, however, was kind enough to offer me the special discount during its past sale at $89.50 instead. Probably he could sense how poor I am … hahaha. Well, it’s a worth buy. I hadn’t expected to buy such heavy stuff in the first place so I did not drive.

It was hardwork half dragging and half carrying it on my back when I staggered towards the MRT station, considering its bulky size. Well, since we spent 1/3 of the time sleeping every day, everything that I bought are worth every single cent spent. Anyway, I am glad that our bed is completed and we can now take our time to shop for other bedsheets. :)

We had our third fitting for Cy’s bridal / evening gown and eL’s suit yesterday. The embroidery on Cy’s evening gown is still not completed and we will be collecting them next weekend 2 days before our photoshoot.

Here are some pictures from yesterday fitting, including one with the designer, Ted Wu himself!

Our house renovation plans have finally taken another step closer to reality. Just met the interior designer yesterday to see the designs she had come up with. We love the excellent design that she has come out with for the study room. However, she has not followed our request for having more storage in the TV display area. Hope that she can refine the design during our next consultation next week.

In the meantime, we have started purchasing the big items of furniture that we will require (especially since there are great offers now because of the Great Singapore Sale). Our sofa (from Barang Barang) has been ordered since last weekend. We went to the Furniture Mall (at Plaza Hotel) yesterday and finally bought our King Koil mattress for the bedroom. The big furniture item that remains to be purchased now will be the dining table…

We went for our second fitting yesterday at the bridal studio. Cy had her trial make-up done as a preview of what to expect for our actual photoshoot coming up real soon. Here are some pictures from the session for your viewing pleasure :)
