Forever Love

Binding us together in perfect harmony

Since it’s Deepavali today and we don’t have to work, eL came up with a brilliant idea to do a little barbecuing at our balcony using the grill that was free when we signed up for our Japan tour this June. He bought some mutton satay sticks together with some cucumber, tomatoes, garlic bread, sweet potatoes (from NTUC), cheeseballs (from Cavana Chicken at Whitesands) as well as got some satay chicken pieces (from his mum) for our barbecue. Simply splendid for just the 2 of us!

Spotted a bud of another pot of our Zamioculcas 2 weekends ago! It was about 7 cm tall (excluding the height of its ‘base’). It sure looks a little like a mini corn. Cool! :)

Can you find the bud?

It’s a rare sight to see a Zamioculcas bloom and we did, for the first time, here in our home!

1) Watched a review of this movie on cable TV recently and we have been scouting around VCD/DVD shops to look for it. It’s an award-winning (Japan’s Oscars) movie about a man with Alzheimer’s Disease … real touching! Take a look at the website … seems that it was released in Japan last year but in Taiwan only this year on 14 Sep … not sure if it will be shown in Singapore or had it been shown before?

2) By the way, we are also looking for a Korean Movie “For Horowitz”. We watched it on the flight during our honeymoon and eL wants to buy a copy of its VCD/DVD for keeps so that we can watch it again. Another great show for piano/music lovers, that’s not to be missed!

If anyone knows where to get a copy of their VCD/DVD, would appreciate it if you could drop us a note! Thanks!

We decided to visit the Chinese Garden on 23 Sep 2007 (Sun) to soak in the atmosphere. eL’s dad was out of Singapore so we invited eL’s mum to join us. As we were one of the early birds to reach there at 5+ p.m., we got to redeem for a free mooncake (cheap one and not so nice to eat! :p ) and we received a paper lantern each. I used one that night and we kept the rest of the 2 for celebrating on the day itself.

On 25 Sep (Tue), we decided to light up the remaining 2 lanterns and eat some mooncakes while admiring the full moon at one of our balconies. It was then we realised that all our 3 balconies are North-South-facing and couldn’t see the moon at all!

Nevertheless, that did not stop us from celebrating it in the comfort of our home. eL set up a little table and despite not seeing the moon, we sat at our balcony and savoured tea with mooncakes while trying to make out what our neighbours opposite were doing. Hee …
